Using Facebook to Attract New Students to Your School

I’ve been telling my coaching clients, Inner Circle members, and Peak Performer members to approach their “Social Network” marketing strategies VERY carefully!

It’s EXTREMELY easy to WASTE A TON OF TIME on facebook, four square, linked in, myspace, twitter, beebo or any of a thousand other social networks.

Typically, my recommendation had been to STAY AWAY, and spend the same amount of time getting “belly to belly” with more prospects.

However, we’re been vigorously testing social media strategies for years, and have found a few strategies that are producing good
results (and in some cases GREAT results) for very LITTLE time invested.

As you may know, we’re hosting several 1 day group sessions where we’ll be revealing a BUNCH of cool, innovative, FREE strategies
to attract new students to your school, most of which take FAR MORE time to explain than we have here, BUT I wanted to give you a couple ”Examples” of what’s been working in the “new media”!

So, how do you make these social networks “productive” without allowing it to suck up all your free time?

Strategy #1: “New Student – Friends”

If you’re students are “on” facebook, then it’s a good bet that a BUNCH of their friends (and family) are “on” facebook. (That’s the whole point)

So it’s useful to be “friends” with all your students on facebook. For new students, just ask them if they are on facebook after you enroll them, for current students, have a contest where the first 50 people to “Friend” you get a FREE “thing” (private lesson, t-shirt, or some other such “bonus” that would motivate them to get in the game!)

Strategy #2: “Tagging”

Obviously “friending” your students when they enroll is quick and easy, and you can keep them in the loop, but how does that help you get “new” students??

Well, if you “tag” the student with a post from your status update, that will push YOUR message out to THEIR wall for all their friends to see!

This is a GREAT outlet for promoting community outreach events (ie. special seminars, children’s confidence course, anti abduction class etc…), you can get these types of posts to go “viral”, and get passed around between your friends’ friends (and families)

We’ll get into all the details, and show you how to implement these (and 4 MORE) useful “Social Media” strategies at our one day “Financial Power Summit” coming to a city near you!!

I’ve got a BIG BAG OF TRICKS and I’m excited to walk you through them in living color!
