What to Do When You Desperately Need to Make the Phone Ring
For whatever reasons, it is not unusual for many instructors and school owners to find themselves in what they perceive as a desperate situation: their marketing and advertising are not attracting prospects, thus the phone is not ringing with their calls and new students and revenue are not walking through the front door.
Being frozen into inaction because you feel desperate is not the answer, taking action is. This report presents the steps you can take to mobilize your staff and students and focus your abilities and assets to generate a renewed interest in your school and its training by the citizens —and the media—of your community.
In other words, don’t just sit there and hope something will happen—Make it happen!

NAPMA Launches the Maximum Impact Membership: All You Need to Grow Your School!
| |
Rob Colasanti, NAPMA president, announces the launch of Maximum Impact, a new NAPMA membership. Maximum Impact includes both the educational and marketing tactics of the monthly Professional Package and the advanced business, sales and marketing strategies of the bi-monthly NAPMA Squared Package, for just $199 per month (plus shipping).
“Not only will new members save $600 a year, compared to the current combined price of a standard NAPMA and NAPMA Squared membership, but also will receive a bonus package, worth more than $2,500,” said Colasanti.
The Century gift certificate is redeemable for uniforms, belts and sparring gear worth $500 in wholesale value. A school owner can easily double the value of his $500 Century order when he sells the inventory at retail in his pro shop. The $1,000+ that he generates will cover a significant portion of the cost of a Maximum Impact membership. In fact, it could equal one year of a standard NAPMA membership ($1,200 plus shipping), making the NAPMA Squared packages and all other member benefits, educational materials and bonus items FREE.
“The time was right to create a new membership that provides members with the opportunity to benefit from both NAPMA’s monthly Professional Package and bi-monthly NAPMA Squared Package,” said Colasanti.
“Once you understand the underlying strategies of NAPMA Squared, you can use the tactics in every Professional Package more effectively and efficiently, which, in turn, will maximize your enrollments, your retention, the professional training of your staff and your prosperity,” added Colasanti.

NAPMA NOW Reports: Improving Your School’s Today for a Successful Tomorrow |
| |
1. NAPMA member and first-time contributor Chris Millares has authored a Black Belt Management Report that includes both action and motivation to drive you toward your goals, your vision. “A New Year: Taking Action Toward Vision” provides action in the form of a four-step process that can help you improve the professionalism and performance of your school, students, staff—AND you.
2. The fourth installment of NAPMA’s Edge Mixed Martial Arts Program is The Stand-Up Game: Leg Kicks, which is the featured segment on the NAPMA Innovations DVD. There are four action-packed leg-kick drills in this month’s lesson. All of them will generate more excitement in your classroom and more focus on the benefits of mixed martial arts.
3. In this month’s G.O.L.D. Team Leadership Report, “The 7-Day Leadership Team Challenge,” Tom Callos asks you and your leadership team to be examples of excellence for your students, not just as teachers, but also as students. When you demonstrate your willingness to face this challenge and succeed, it will be obvious to your students that you want them both “to do as I say” and “do as I do.”
4. Words of the Week author Solomon Brenner is also focused on leadership this month, as that is the word for this month’s report. Leadership is one of those concepts, one of those character qualities, that you can’t stress too much or too often with your students.
Remember, it only takes one good idea from NAPMA NOW to pay your NAPMA tuition for a lifetime! |

Featured Interview: The Stadium Pitch with Chet Holmes
You’re invited on a journey of discovery on this month’s Sounds of Success CD, as NAPMA President Rob Colasanti discusses the Stadium Pitch concept with Chet Holmes. Mr. Holmes has worked with more than 60 of the Fortune 500 companies—AND he has also been a martial arts student for 23 years and formerly owned a school on Times Square in New York City.
In this extensive interview, he provides an overview of his Stadium Pitch concept and how it is easily applied to any size business or organization, marketing any product or service. The Stadium Pitch is a method for creating and making presentations that significantly increases sales. It accelerates and improves training, client access, the decision-making process, appointment setting, closing skills, rapport opportunities and credibility. |
