Partnering With Local Schools and
Teachers
One of your
primary objectives as a business leader in your community is
to develop a reputation as an expert; someone with specific
knowledge and experience in self-defense/personal safety,
healthy lifestyles, personal development, the psychology of
confidence and many other topics.
Sharing your expertise with your local school
system and its teachers will help you create partnerships that
will make the teachers’ jobs easier and expose more children
and parents to your messages and the benefits of training at
your school.
This free Strategic Report presents many
specific, practical and low-cost methods to become involved
with the academic institutions in your community, and for the
mutual benefit of everyone.

You’re Invited to the Grand Opening of the
New NAPMA Web Site
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
 |
|
|
On behalf of its members around
the world and the NAPMA staff, Rob Colasanti,
NAPMA president, is pleased to announce that the
newly revised NAPMA Web site will soon be
launched. In fact, the new site may be live when
you receive this E-news.
“All of our Web site guests will
discover a totally refurbished and more colorfully
graphic presentation; however, this is merely the
first phase of the NAPMA Web site we’ve
envisioned,” said Colasanti. “There is so much
more information we can provide and interactive
opportunities to share with members and all
friends of the martial arts. It was important,
however, to launch ‘Part A’ of the site to
coincide with the introduction of the new NAPMA
Maximum Impact membership.”
The site has been reorganized and
expanded to serve both of its primary audiences
better. First, the site promotes the NAPMA mission
and the value of a NAPMA membership. Any
instructor or school owner can quickly review all
of the many benefits of a NAPMA membership by
taking the NAPMA Membership Benefit Tour.
Prospective (and current) members can also view
the most recent as well as archived issues of Martial Arts Professional Magazine, NAPMA
Professional Packages, NAPMA Squared Packages and
NAPMA E-news.
Second, the site supports current
members, with members-only access to downloads of
recent reports, articles and other support
materials.
The Home Page is divided into a
series of presentation boxes, each highlighting
the most current Web site content and immediate
access to the information members and prospective
members will want most.
There are direct links to the
most current NAPMA News stories; presentations of
the latest NAPMA packages; the product of the
month and other featured items in the Pro Shop;
and announcements of major events and promotions.
The Pro Shop has been completely
revamped. It now features all popular and new
NAPMA products, organized in the same categories
as the NAPMA Instructor Catalog. Each product is
displayed on a separate page with a cleaner
graphic and text presentation, and expanded
descriptions.
Your feedback, comments and
suggestions for expanded features and functions
are welcomed.

NAPMA Celebrates Banner Year of
Membership Growth |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Rob Colasanti, NAPMA president,
reports that 798 new members joined NAPMA during
2006, which is the most active year for
membership growth since NAPMA’s founding almost
12 years ago.
“There were 84 new members during
December, which was NAPMA’s 23rd consecutive month
of positive membership growth,” said Colasanti.
“This is particularly significant, since December
is typically a shorter business month, and it’s
more difficult to talk with instructors and school
owners because of their holiday schedules. The
introduction of the new Maximum Impact membership
during December and the special upgrade offer for
current members was a primary impetus to
growth.” |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
According to Colasanti, the new
Maximum Impact membership, the launch of NAPMA’s
improved Web site and the improvement of its
member services will not only continue, but also
accelerate, NAPMA’s growth. |

NAPMA NOW Reports: Improving Your
School’s Today for a Successful Tomorrow |
|
|
|
| |
1. March’s Black Belt Promotions
Report, “Spring Break Day Camp: An
Alternate Profit Center For Any Size School,” is
what many members tell us they want—and what they
say they really want is a sample daily schedule of
a spring break day camp—and that’s what NAPMA has
delivered!
2. “Attacks
from the Mount Position” is the fifth installment
of NAPMA’s Edge Mixed Martial Arts Program. Use
the five drills on the complete Edge Curriculum Outline
found on the Media Master CD-ROM and the
featured segment on the NAPMA Innovations
DVD to enhance your students mixed martial
arts skills.
3. Once again, Tom
Callos focuses on an important leadership
skill that all instructors should learn in the
G.O.L.D. Team Leadership
Report. “Turning the Bad into the Good: The
Ultimate Skill of a Martial Arts Teacher” explains
how to address negative situations at your school
with positive solutions.
4. Words of the Week is another enriching lesson from
Solomon Brenner. In fact, he
provides four excellent lessons about “risk” to
share with your students. He starts with the
concept that no one can expect to achieve great
rewards without risking failure—and having the
confidence to do so.
Remember, it
only takes one good idea from NAPMA NOW
to pay your NAPMA tuition for a
lifetime! |

Colasanti explains how a combination of methods may be the

New Maximum Impact
Members Discover Hidden Benefits of the NAPMA Squared
Package |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
 |
 |
Many NAPMA members state that a major
factor that motivated them to upgrade to Maximum Impact
is the advanced continuing education that NAPMA Squared
provides.
A number of members thought that NAPMA
Squared was too advanced for the modest sizes of their
schools. They weren’t sure if they could apply the strategic
thinking presented in NAPMA Squared packages to their schools’
current situations. |
| |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
After further discussions with NAPMA
representatives, they realized a number of hidden, but
important, benefits of NAPMA Squared for younger instructors
and smaller schools.
First, you may think you and your school are
not yet ready for the advanced ideas of Stephen Oliver and his
many high-powered guests. You may be right, today; but think
of NAPMA Squared as a college-level education in growing a
martial arts school and living more prosperously.
You must learn before you can make use of
your education. Physicians don’t learn medicine, while
practicing on patients; they first require extensive
schooling. You want to acquire the knowledge of NAPMA Squared
before you’re ready to implement that knowledge.
Second, a major professional development
strategy that Stephen Oliver preaches is that to be
successful, you must interact with successful people. Your
NAPMA Squared membership is an invitation to a private club of
the most successful school owners. You are also exposed to
leading authors and consultants who are the resources of much
of the information that has helped those school owners grow
from your size to become the largest and most profitable
businesses in the industry.
Third, much of the advanced strategic
thinking in NAPMA Squared is applicable to even the smallest
schools, especially those who want (and must) improve basic
operational systems, such as generating leads, enrollments,
customer service, upgrade programs, etc.
Being a Maximum Impact (and NAPMA
Squared) member is not necessarily about growing and owning
the largest school, but preparing yourself thoroughly, as a
professional, to take advantage of whatever opportunities may
present themselves in the future.
