Ten Tips to Develop a Lead Box Route
The free Strategic Report in the September NAPMA eNews was “Making Lead Boxes Work for You” by NAPMA member James Theros. He shared his lead-box success story, explaining how he modified the way he used lead boxes to generate an extra $10,000 in contract value in just a few short weeks.
This month’s report leads naturally from September’s, with “Ten Tips to Develop a Lead Box Route” from Jimmy Mack, a marketing professional known to the martial arts industry for his lead generation and database management expertise.

NAPMA Membership Count Increases—For 20th Consecutive Month
| |
Rob Colasanti, NAPMA president, announced that NAPMA welcomed 73 new members during the month of September, which is the 20th consecutive month of positive membership growth.
“More important than the actual number of new members willing to try NAPMA is that so many of them recognize almost immediately how beneficial and supportive a NAPMA membership can be,” said Colasanti. “Various members of the NAPMA staff receive positive comments virtually every day from new members who have also experienced positive growth in their enrollments, retention rates and revenues.”
“We expect the new Maximum Impact and Edge MMA Programs to continue to attract more new members and strengthen our relationships with them, as NAPMA continues to grow as the leader of the industry,” Colasanti added. |

Mark Graden Named NAPMA’s Director of Martial Arts Curriculum |
| |
NAPMA President Rob Colasanti has named Mark Graden, NAPMA’s director of martial arts curriculum.
In his new role, Graden will continue to produce and manage audio and video materials for the Professional Package, NAPMA Squared Package and NAPMA curriculum, staff development and specialty programs. He will also work closely with Colasanti and Bob Sillick, NAPMA creative director, to plan and develop continuing education and marketing support materials to benefit members throughout the year.
“Mark is an integral part of the foundation of NAPMA, and continues to demonstrate his commitment to provide our members with the best, most useful and exciting curriculum materials,” said Colasanti. “His many years at NAPMA—and future years as our director of martial arts curriculum—have had, and will continue to have, a direct impact on the success of instructors, schools and their students across North America and around the world.” |
Graden has been a martial arts video producer for almost 20 years, 10 years as NAPMA’s video producer. He is a Fifth-Degree Black Belt, a world-class WAKO Kickboxing fighter, and was named, earlier this year, the 2005 Pound-for-Pound Fighter of the Year by the Joe Lewis Fighting Systems. Graden is also the master instructor at World Champion Jim Graden’s Karate in Seminole, Florida. |

Martial Arts Professional Adds Classified Section
| |
The staff of Martial Arts Professional magazine has recently completed the development of a new classified section, allowing NAPMA members and instructors throughout the industry to advertise and place notices in the magazine at a lower cost than display advertising.
“Those interested in classified advertising should contact me directly with their questions and ad copy,” said Jay Morgan, MAPro advertising director. “Examples of ad content include equipment for sale, such as mats; schools for sale; tournament announcements; employment opportunities for instructors; and miscellaneous notices.” |
Classified ad orders and text must be received 30 days in advance of publication dates, which are typically the last week of every month. Payment is due with orders. Rates are $50 for the first 30 words and $1 per each additional word, with a maximum of 50 words per ad.
Please contact Jay Morgan at 1-800-973-6734 or jmorgan@napma.com for more information and exact deadlines. |
